Maritime border control includes, inter alia:

    1. the adoption and implementation of measures for the prevention of illegal migration and the overall enhancement of maritime border security.
    2. synergies with relevant EU (Frontex) and international bodies in the field of maritime border control and security.
    3. the hosting of and participation in Frontex-led joint maritime operations.
