Maritime search and rescue functions include:

  1. Conduct of maritime SAR operations within the Greek Search and Rescue Region (SRR) on a 24/7 basis
  2. Operation on a 27/4 basis of Piraeus JRCC in cooperation with Hellenic Air Force (HAF) and Hellenic Navy (HN).
  3. Cooperation with other competent domestic authorities in the field of Search and Rescue
  4. Cooperation with foreign search and rescue centres and authorities
